Released in 1992,
this recording marks Greg Federico’s “jumping off
point” into the record industry.
An entire team of musicians is featured,
including: multi-instrumentalists/vocalists
Dave Edwards and Robb Edwards; bassist Mike Rorro;
saxophonist Roger Bryson; vocalists Leesa Trus and
Bonnie Edwards; vibraphonist Matt Beechhold, and
percussionist Joe Mekler.
“Returning”
is a 44-minute documentation of Federico’s composing,
arranging, and performing debut in the studio.
Inside this collection of jazzy New Age hybrids,
Greg has gathered some of his highest and most
imaginative musical moments to date.
8 original compositions boast a variety of
instrumental textures within the context of many
different musical styles, including New Age/Jazz, World
Fusion, Classical, Latin and even Pop/Rock.
Federico describes “Returning” as:
". . .a sort of past, present, and future
look into my own soul.
The images that most inspired my writing on this
record were cherished memories coupled with hopes for
bright future experiences.” |
